 Our tournament is held in order to benefit the athletic teams at Centerville High School, a member fo the Fairfax County Public School System. CVHS offers 21 varsity-level sports teams, along with 20 junior-varsity & freshmen teams. The Wildcat Boosters, our tournament host, sole purpose is to provide additional funds to support these teams above & beyond the funding provided by CVHS & FCPS. The Boosters also strive to bolster school spirit & sportsmanship, as well as ensuring that every student-athelte & spectator has a positive game-day experience. Our 2008 outing was a great success as our tournament field grew by 50% from 2007. The field included members & alumni or the Wildcat athletic program, as well as CVHS alumni & parents, friends of the program, event sponsors, & local business & community members. We would very much like to build upon our success from last year, so we hope you can join us & pass the word along to any others who might be interested. |
